Holocaust Overview

Free Write. 5.9.13

Although it feels nothing like summer, weather wise that is, I still know that this is the last Thursday of the semester! I can't believe it. This semester has flown by so fast, I feel like it was just January yesterday. But I know summer is coming, it's just a matter of getting through my finals next week and then I am free.
As for summer plans...I'm still not sure. I know I will still be working at Red Lobster. I might also be babysitting my cousin for part of the week as well.  Which watching him is a piece of cake! He loves swimming and play with his action figures, so I'm going to say that I'll have a pretty laid back summer. Hopefully! Haha.  I don't know if I'll be making any trips this summer though. My roommates family has invited me to go to Kansas with them sometime this summer, which I think will be a lot of fun. His family is hilarious! So the eight hour drive will be quite interesting to say the least!

Free Write 4.4.13

It's official, I hate Missouri weather. I want to move somewhere else maybe Colorado or Florida. I've been sick too many times this year and it's barely the start of April.  I've had a sore throat for going on three days now, haven't been able to eat or drink because it just hurts. So I have scheduled a doctors appointment for after class.  I probably shouldn't have even came to class, but we are starting our research papers and I don't want to miss that. I'm a terrible writer, so I need all the help I can get!
We are starting our Holocaust research papers today.  To be honest, I just want to get them over with, the whole eleven to fifteen pages scares me.

Free Write 4.2.13

I'm not too sure what to write about today, it's just a normal day in the neighborhood for me.  But I guess I could tell you about my Easter.  I work at Red Lobster and of course I had to work all day. It wasn't fun to say the least, but it went by pretty fast.  Yesterday, which was the Monday after Easter, I went out to my parents house in Ozark for we could do an Easter dinner then.  We had a lot of fun, my little sister, who is fourteen, can be quite the entertainer.  She gets it from my dad, who is also really fun to hang out with.  Mom on the other hand, she can be a lot of fun to hang around with, but she does the cooking and everything like that.  I call her the Energizer Bunny because she never stops.  I don't get to go out there very often, because of work and class, but when I do it seems like I'm following her around to talk.  One minute we will be in the kitchen and the next in the laundry room. Yet, I still love her to death.  My dad, like I said is quite fun to be around, but he can also be the most caring and genuine person to talk too, which is what I love about him.
As for my little sister, oh my that girl is hitting the teenage years pretty hard, she can be the sweetest person one minute and the next she can be getting an attitude with you.

Free Write 3.26.13

Have you ever wanted something so bad but you had to wait? That's me right now with that thing you call summer.  That season in the middle of the year that has a sun and people walking around in flip flops and bathing suits. It's those days I miss the most.  It March 26th and yesterday it was snowing, but thanks to good old Missouri we have at least some sunshine today.  Yet, it's still 26 degrees outside.  Even the groundhog said that Spring was coming, boy was he wrong!  Now it's just time to bare the cold and wait a little longer for that sunshine that we all know and love.
I can't wait for days on the lake, days of doing absolutely nothing but sitting outside and reading, swimming, and playing with all the little kids outside.  Most of my very wonderful memories happen in the summer like family campouts, bbq's in the backyard with the pool right next to us, and most of all just the time off to spend with family.  One of my favorite things to do in the some is swim.  My dad has a huge pool at his house in Ozark and I love going out there just to swim and have family bbq's.  It's these days I'm wishing for the most.
Summer is a time of peace for a lot of people it seems like because like most other people my age have those three, short might I add, months to do anything other school work.  Which is just heavenly for me!
I don't have huge plans for this summer just yet, but I know I am wanting to go to California sometime in May for my Great-Grandmothers' 101st birthday.  That is something that is on my must-do list for the summer!
